Label of the Year 2025: Experts Only

In 2025, Experts Only emerged as one of the defining labels of contemporary club culture, solidifying its position at the center of the global house and tech-house movement. Curated by John Summit, the label evolved into far more than a release platform, operating as a complete ecosystem that connects music, community, and live experiences. With a sharp focus on groove, functionality, and authenticity, Experts Only delivered records designed for real club environments, while maintaining a forward-thinking approach that resonated equally with underground audiences and large festival crowds.

Throughout the year, the label hosted an impressive and diverse group of artists who helped shape its sound and identity. Names such as John Summit, Meduza, Camelphat, Cassian, Layton Giordani, SCRIPT, Gorgon City, Kasablanca, Korolova appeared across official releases. At the same time, the label actively supported the next generation by giving rising artists like Devault, Discip, Millero, Fallon and other artists the opportunity to showcase their talent and develop their sound within the Experts Only environment. There were many tracks from the label that gained so much support around the world from artists and fans also, but there were a few that stood out in particular and it was no other than John Summit’s collaboration with Gorgon City featuring Rhys from The Sticks - "Is Everybody Having Fun?" , John Summit’s release with Cloves called "Focus", and Meduza’s release with title "No Sleep". The standout moments of the year regarding track releases for Experts Only were definitely the official releases of John Summit’s remix for the legendary Britney Spears track I Wanna Go and his remix of Silence by Delerium featuring Sarah McLachlan, two iconic tracks that John Summit put his own spin on.

Experts Only Festival

The launch of the Experts Only Festival marked a defining moment for the label’s evolution from a recording platform into a fully realized cultural brand. The festival took place for the first time in 2025 in New York City, marking a major milestone for the label’s expansion into large-scale live events. Hosted on Randall’s Island, the inaugural edition transformed the venue into a full Experts Only experience, bringing together thousands of fans for a day focused entirely on the label’s sound and culture with artists like John Summit, Green Velvet, Layton Giordani, Kaskade, Pete Tong, Cassian and many more. Experts Only commits that this year's festival will be even bigger and more powerful, building on its debut with an expanded lineup, enhanced production, and an even more immersive experience for fans. Earlier in 2025 label's boss John Summit presented Experts Only at Zamna Festival in Tulum, Mexico for the first time ever, an iconic destination for electronic music lovers.
