1. Arista is a young UK Hip Hop Artist hailing from Birmingham
2. There is another Arista. A Columbian singer who sings great vintage Cuban son montunos and guajiras.
"Asi Es La Vida"
Here is an unexpected gem: An album of endearing, rootsy, son montunos in the classic Cuban style -- as interpreted by Colombian vocalist Arista, who, despite the geography, clearly has a Cuban soul with a fine patina.
Well done. Recommended. (BP, 2004-12-18)
